OOC: Whoops, forgot who was squad leader.

Cooper looks back and forth between Brock and Slyde as he realized he has forgotten who the squad leader is.

"Oooooh. Right." He sketches off a salute to Brock. "So yeah, we need to regroup with Stone and Tillman, but....don't you wonder where everyone is? I mean, we've been out long enough for at least one instructor to be here telling us what miserable wastes we are."

He gestured around and then pointed to the empty control room.

"No one. What gives?"

"According to the one Doc I spoke to briefly, right before the computer cut him off, the computer has killed everybody else off." Slyde says. "But he wasn't real sane sounding, either. The computer was holding me under arrest until I was about to get into the crawlspace, then just suddenly decided to let me go once you guys got out."

"Computer, explain."

Kaue realized that his squad was at the mercy of this rogue computer. This was unacceptable, because the computer had no soul. No fear of the gods. No remorse.

He looked around the bay for anything useful, especially something that might make a decent weapon if battering was required. Also, a sealed environmental/evac suit would be a priceless treasure at this point.

Roll 10 (+5) +8 Int + 4 awareness = 27 total

What a waste of a 10

Kaue looked around him into the stygian darkness and wondered at the giant box they all stood in. There were ladders and catwalks at every level, but no signs of engines or even other people. This huge warehouse sized room was not meant for storage, he now realized.

Or at least not the storage for which it was currently being used.

Lights could help.

If only they could turn on the lights, they could have some clue to their next move.

He considered, helplessly, his next action.

What should he say? What could he do?

Cooper leaned against the nearest coffin.

"Man, that don't make sense. If the computer was trying to kill us...why are we here now? We were pretty much at it's mercy when we were plugged in, so letting us out wouldn't have been very productive."

He looked over at Slyde.

"Then again, why the hell would the computer try to arrest you? Wouldn't that mean the MPs were on their way? Shit, this doesn't seem right."

Cooper frowned, then looked over to Brock.

"Your call, Bossman. We wait here, or go after the rest of our squad?"

"My thinking at this point is that we died at just the right point for hardware coded safety systems to force us out. While the boss decides, why don't we see if we can salvage some more chemlight and first aid kits." Slyde replies.

"Computer, we need lights. Also where are we? And can you direct us to the sickbay?"
