You are correct.

While I understand a bared-teeth opinion toward metagaming, I don't think it's an unfair question to ask what sort of skills we might need or which would make play most rewarding. If we're going to face rogue AIs, hacking and systems knowledge is pretty important. If we're about to go off-planet and hunt bugs for a year or two, then maybe shooting and combat stuff is going to reward investment more.

Just sayin'.

One of the advantages of playing a cyberpunk bard who has just joined the Marines: "What? You mean my character can't shoot straight? I guess I know which skill I'm raising first!"

Heh.

Do cyberpunk bards have the same combat effectiveness as 3.5 D&D bards?

You know me.

You know the kind of GM I am.

I look at my PCs sheets and I choose story elements that will best fit those characters.

We haven't even finished the pilot yet, let alone the first season. You guys haven't even done any exploring.

Ain't even left the room you started in.

Hell. You ain't even together. Got two men missin'.

Lots of opportunities here in this here room.

Careful which doors you open. Could be some lead outside...

I do. You're right.

That's why I didn't ask the question.

Baelfyre is still learning these things about you.

Anders managed to scrape up two kills in the VR training session, neither of whom was one of his fellow squad members, which I believes merits an "exceeds expectations" eval.

"I know kung-fu."

Is not a part of my game.

In the meantime, however, everyone who would like to suggest an element they would like to see in the game may PM me (PM so as to avoid spoilers).

In the meantime, I have a plot line to follow that will require your kind indulgence. If you escape this one, I have others that will come into play.

I don't do railroads.

I was trying to be funny and ask a question in a facetious and utterly exagerated way, and apparently fell flat on my face. In the RAW, IP can only be applied to skills that are used(as I remember, anyway). Mouser indicated that it wasn't the case by mentioning examples that most of the players hadn't used (such as spacesuit and zero g maneuver), and I wanted to clarify that before I picked my skills.

In particular, Slyde saw a need for for first aid after being utterly stumped trying to help AJ, but had never used the skill so I wanted the point clear before picking skills.

Mea culpa.

Epic humor fail.

I apologize, everyone.
