  • Bounty Hunters are added to the list of character classes with exceptional (percentile) strength. [House Rules No.8]
  • At 3rd level or higher gains the ability to perform assassinations with the same chance of success as an assassin two levels lower.
  • At 5th level, a bounty hunter gains some thieving abilities: Opening locks, finding/removing traps, moving silently, hiding in shadows, hearing noise, climbing walls, and reading languages are performed as a thief four levels lower in experience, and continue to improve from there on.
  • At 7th level or higher can track as a ranger and will gain the disguise abilities of an assassin.
  • At 9th level or higher make three attacks per two rounds with handheld thrusting or striking weapons, but do not gain multiple attacks against 0-level opponents.
  • Bounty hunters may capture, rather than kill, opponents. A successful assassination roll by the hunter can mean that the victim was knocked unconscious for 2-16 turns, if the hunter so chooses. This usually allows time to bind and gag the quarry. The Bounty Hunter's ability to capture instead of kill may be done without a chance of "accidentally" killing the target. [House Rules No.5] The bounty hunter must employ a blunt weapon in order for a knockout attempt to be successful.
  • Bounty Hunters have the Snarebuilding secondary ability: Snare Building: This skill allows the bounty hunter to construct deadfalls, pits, and other traps for large and even very large animals and like creatures. [House Rules No.10]

Default Character Background

Malek grew up in the gutters of the city. He was looked down upon by even the lowliest of scum in a very big pond. Despite the continuous beatings he received at the hands of those bigger and stronger than him, he grew bigger and stronger. He learned how to survive, picking up as much as he could from anyone that was willing to teach him. And as he learned to avoid the beatings, he discovered that he was growing stronger and faster as well.

By the time he was ten, he was able to hold his own against adults in contests of strength. He was no longer being bullied, but protected the younger street urchins as best as he could until they too could look after themselves. And he grew flexible and dexterous as well, possessed of a grace that rivalled that of elves. It was this that caught the eye of Circio Ballagan, Master of the Hunt…

I am taking this from the list of possible barbarian secondary abilities, and giving it to the bounty hunter.
